Description:
A tea of outstanding quality, made from old and wild trees only, from a very good site. The tea has been produced in traditional manner, i.e. sun dried. The leaves come from wild trees that are very old (around 1000 years old) from Mount Daxueshan (great snow mountain). The trees are not easily accessible hence only small amounts of this precious tea have been produced. Additionally, the trees have been put under protection since 2009, so no new tea is produced from them. Thies tea has been stored in Mengku (China) until 2015.
Character:
Characteristically, teas from Mengku present a refined sweet note. This tea already has very pronounced and beautiful mature notes.
Category:
Sheng Cha - Raw Pu Er
Storage:
Fresh and pleasant to drink, combining slightly tart and sweet notes. This tea undergoes a process of microbial fermentation while stored, during which it loses freshness and tartness, while gaining depth, sweetness and earthy notes.

Description:
A really, really old loose leaf Pu Er from Yiwu, harvested in the 1960's. Lao Huang Ye means old yellow leaves, i.e. those leaves that are actually not plucked to make fresh teas to be sold. The tea farmer plucks and treats them in order to make his own, private tea. These old leaves are less tart and sweeter than those newly sprouted.

The power of thie original, primordial. Earth, forest, a wooden shack, a burning, crackling fire; the wind blows. A tea as impressive as nourishing.

Description:
A very rare and sought after raw Pu Er from old trees from Yiwu. in 1988 a tea-lover from Hong Kong requested the national tea factory in Yunnan to produce this tea. The first batch has been made solely from old tea trees - of this batch, we could acquire 4 pieces through reliable contacts in Taiwan. For the second part of the production, leaves from younger trees have been included. Unfortunately, there are many forgeries of this famous tea on the market, particularly on the internet. This tea can be bought at our shop directly, as we choose not to ship it. It has been stored in China and Taiwan until 2016.

Upon request you can buy 25g of this tea for CHF 200.00.
