Description:
Wudong Chenmen is a very particular and rare Fenghuang Dancong, produced in a classical manner and moderately roasted above charcoal of Litchi. The name Chen Men stems from the fact that the tree is growing next to the gate (Men) near the village (Chen in the local dialect). In Mandarin also Cheng Men, City wall gate. At the same time the Chinese character for Chen is also the old writing of the local minority called the She, that has been living in the region before the Han-Chinese.

Description:
A very interesting tea from Chaozhou. Diechun can be translated as spring butterfly. This tea is the result of an excellent blend of the varieties Qilan, Shuixian and Dawuye. The idea of this blend is to produce a good, affordable and fruity tea of a Phoenix Single Bush. N.B.: the Die Chun is technically not a real Fenghuang Dancong: genuine Dancong are made exclusively from sub-varieties of the Shuxian plant. This tea replaces the Hong Xiang Lan, the was made of Qi Lan only.
Character:
This tea is like a quiet stroll at the edge of a forest. On the one side, one finds a dense and colourful meadow full of flowers and on the other wood, wild berries and moss.

Description:
A beautiful traditional tea from Chaozhou in the fashion of a local every day tea from the 70ies.It is a blend of various Oolong varietal (Qilan, Dahong, Meizhan, Huangdan) from the surroundings of Fenghuang. Since no Shuixian is in the blend, this tea cannot be considered a Fenghuang Dancong in the strictest of senses - hence we named it Fenghuang Wulong.
Character:
This tea reminds of a warm fire in an autumnal forest.

Description:
Wonderful, rather light Fenghuang Dancong from the village Shiguping from the sub-variety Gongxiang. This is a sub-variety that has spread over the last years known as one of the most appreciated light fragrant Dancong and thus belonging to the category named Zhilanxiang, Sesame orchid Fragrance. Gong, literally tribute, though in the local dialect high, striking, varied, strong. Gongxiang is thus a striking, varied, strong scent.

Shiguping is second to Fenghuang only in renown regarding Dancong. The terroir is somewhat different to the one found on Mount Wudong, above the village of Fenghuang.

Description:
A wonderful Fenghuang Dancong from the village Shiguping and of rather lighter shade, slightly roasted over litchi wood charcoal. Yashixiang can be translated as duckshit scent and is one of the more particular Shuixian-subvarieties. According to the legend, some tea trees were growing beautifully in a field that was fertilized with duck manure, and the tea developed a beautiful, quite singular aroma, upon which the tea was called duckshit scent.

Description:
Shiguping Wulong is a very particular and rare tea from an old variety. It is an old local variety from the village of Shiguping and one of the oldest Oolong-varieties. It is NOT a sub-variety of the Shuixian variety, hence it is, strictly speaking, not a Feng Huang Dan Cong. Shi Gu Ping has much thicker leaves than Shuixian and it can thus be shaken more vigorously before the process of oxidation. On the other hand, this tea is less intensely roasted than Phoenix tea made from the Shuixian plant.
Character:
Green and intense, the taste of this tea moves along a small still water, with reed and grass while once in a while, the smell of a delicate flower passes by in the wind.

Description:
A very beautiful Fenghuang Dandong of outstanding quality, that needs much attention. The leaves come from over fifty year old bushes that grow at high altitude on Mount Wudong. They are of the sub-varietal Songzhong. The tea is carfully crafted and moderately roasted above charcoal from litchi-wood. Songzhong, Song (dynasty) Varietal means, that cuttings were taken from a tea trea from the Song dynasty, i.e. which is at least 700 years old. New tea gardens were grown from these cuttings. The tea bushes themselves are not so old, their genetic material, however, is, which is reflected in its taste. Such genuine Wudong Sonzhong are also called Dongfanghong (The east is red) in honour of Mao Zedong.
