  1. Lao Cong Da Hong Pao

    Lao Cong Da Hong Pao
A Dahongpao of a rare kind and quality. It has not been produced from one of the traditional genuine Dahongpao varieties Beidou, Queshe and Qidan, but from hundred year old bushes (Laocong) of the original Wuyi variety Qizhong - which nowadays is being grown in Tongmuguan, where it is made into smoked black tea. Da Hong Pao is the most famous of the Si Da Ming Cong, the Four Great Famous Varietals of the Wuyi Rock Teas. Typical Dahongpao are very balanced, combining fruity aromas, the roast aromas of bread and mineral notes. The name Dahongpao translates as Big red robe and the name is explained by different legends, such as: the ill empress was healed with tea, whereupon the emperor clad the tea bushes in a big red robe.
  2. Tong Jun Mei

    Tong Jun Mei
Tong Jun Mei, the copper eyebrow of the noble horse, is the third quality of the Jun Mei black teas from Tongmuguan at Wuyishan. While the top grade Jin Jun Mei is exclusively made of buds, Tongjunmei is made from the harvest of a bud and two leaves. Both teas are produced from the same tea plant variety (either Qi Zhong or Caicha), just like the Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, however not smoked like the latter. Like Jinjunmei Version 2005, this Tongjunmei is also produced by Liang Junde.
  3. Lao Cong Zheng Shan

    Lao Cong Zheng Shan
The classic Chinese smoked tea, a genuine Zhengshan Xiaozhong, from its original place of crafting, Tongmuguan. This tea has been produced by Liang Jun De from the valley of Tongmuguan.

It is made from old tea plants (approximately 100 years old), produced as a whole leaf black tea of great quality, delicately smoked over a pine wood fire. Very balanced and aromatic, the smoky notes keep subtly in the background, strengthening the character of the tea. The name Laocong Zhengshan refers to the old tea bushes.
  4. Yin Jun Mei

    Yin Jun Mei
Yin Jun Mei, the silver eyebrow of the noble horse, is the second best quality of the Jun Mei black teas from Tongmuguan at Wuyishan. While the top grade Jin Jun Mei is exclusively made of buds, a bud and a leaf are plucked to craft Yin Jun Mei. Both teas are produced from the same tea plant varietal (either Qi Zhong or Caicha), just like the Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, however not smoked like the latter.
  5. Jin Jun Mei Version 2005

    Jin Jun Mei Version 2005
Real, original Jin Jun Mei from Tongmuguan. An absolute top black tea, only made from buds from tea plants growing in great height, from the same wildly grown tea plants like Zhengshan Xiaozhong. Jin Jun Mei is named after the first name of its inventor Liang JUN De and after its looks: Jin Mei, golden eyebrow. Jun literally means noble horse, which fits this tea well, too.
  6. Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong

    Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong
A genuine, classic smoked tea, as it was initially produced: an original Zhengshan Xiaozhong of excellent quality from Liang Jun De from the valley of Tongmuguan. It was dried over a pine wood fire. This is the grade 3, that was sorted after the production of the tea leaves; i.e. a Gong Fu Cha.
  7. Chuan Tong Zheng Shan

    Chuan Tong Zheng Shan
The real, classic smoked tea as it was originally produced: the same tea as Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, smoked again in spring with wood from the Masson pine, resulting in a strongly smoked black tea. This is how the classic Tarry Lapsang should have been.
