Fanggu Ruyi refers to a specific shape and pattern on the clay pot.Artist: Hong HuapingThe clay used: Chaogaowen Chun Tianran Zipin Zishani Chaogaowen means in this case the pot was fired at very high temperatures (>1250°C).The name Chun Tianran refers to the properties of the clay, natural and pure. Zipin means mixed. Zipin clay is often sorted out and prepared personally by the artist. With experienced eyes,he recognises the nature of the raw ore and assesses its behaviour during preparation and firing.
