Description:
One of the qualitatively best Gyokuro obtainable in normal amounts, i.e. not a competition tea that would be even better in quality but/and only obtainable in very small amounts. The specialty property of these high quality Gyokuros is the very clear, light, and milky appearance of the infusion, which seems to be in opposition to the very intense taste. Tenka-ichi means the first under the sky and is the best or, so to speak, the Emperor's tea.
Character:
A Gyokuro that is hardly to be topped in its intensity, fullness and spice. Peanuts, roasted sesame, a wok full of well spiced Japanese vegetables. A tea like a high-value meal, nourishing in every aspect.

Description:
Kabusecha, just like Gyokuro, are shaded before the harvest, but slightly differently, depending on the type of Kabusecha produced. This gives the tea a certain tartness, that is more subtle than the one found in Sencha. The present tea is made from the subvariety Okumidori, where Oku refers to the late harvest time and midori means green.
Character:
A gentle tea, whose pleasant slightly grassy notes are underscored by a subtle tartness and a fine taste of umami.

Description:
A rarity - a Gyokuro from Ogura, Uji that was hand rolled, from the so far oldest recorded Garden for Gyokuro tea. This tea has been shaded for twenty days in the traditional manner, i.e. covered with reed and rice straws. This tea has been grown with greatest care and in a natural way, so that its taste strikes a balance between the typical Umami tastes and very aromatic notes.
Character:
A full tea with a pleasant Umami taste that is in a delicate balance with a fine and yet intense spiciness.
