Description:
Dalicha is the Chinese name for the camellia variety camellia taliensis, a close relative of the tea plant camellia sinensis. Dalicha Xiaoshu 2012 is made from tea plucked from sixty-year-old tea trees. The processing is the same as for raw Puer Shengcha from normal tea trees, but the taste is clearly different. Stored in China until 2023.
Character:
This tea already shows wonderfully pronounced, earthy notes of maturity; the wildness of the raw Pu Er in the background is still present. It was stored until 2023 in China.
Category:
Sheng Cha - Raw Pu Er
Storage:
Fresh and pleasant to drink, combining slightly tart and sweet notes. This tea undergoes a process of microbial fermentation while stored, during which it loses freshness and tartness, while gaining depth, sweetness and earthy notes.
