Description:
Shiguping Wulong is a very particular and rare tea from an old variety. It is an old local variety from the village of Shiguping and one of the oldest Oolong-varieties. It is NOT a sub-variety of the Shuixian variety, hence it is, strictly speaking, not a Feng Huang Dan Cong. Shi Gu Ping has much thicker leaves than Shuixian and it can thus be shaken more vigorously before the process of oxidation. On the other hand, this tea is less intensely roasted than Phoenix tea made from the Shuixian plant.
Character:
Green and intense, the taste of this tea moves along a small still water, with reed and grass while once in a while, the smell of a delicate flower passes by in the wind.
Category:
Phoenix Single Bush (Feng Huang Dan Cong)
Storage:
This tea was heavily oxidized and roasted, it can thus be kept at room temperature and even be aged.
