Very beautiful Chachuan from Taiwan, made of porcelain. Chachuan, means tea boat in Chinese, and is used as saucer for teapots or Gaiwan. A bamboo coaster is included.

For the classic Gong Fu Cha, the teapot or gaiwan is placed on a chachuan or plate, with or without a coaster. The cups (and possibly a chahai or other pouring vessel) are presented on a tray. All the utensils together can be put on a surface such as a tea towel.

The residual water is emptied into a separate water vessel, as there is no integrated recipient to take the excess water and tea.
