Description:
Clay pot made of volcanic rocks from Taiwan by Master Lin Guanxian. This clay pot symbolises the treasures from the soil of the country with the gilded areas.

Lin Guanxian studied in Japan. His style has been influenced by the aesthetics and cultural diversity from there. The simple style is meant to remind us of the soil of Taiwan, an island full of volcano, a simple beauty, a treasure island (the golden spots), in the idea that the warm tea reactivates the cooled volcano within us!

Description:
Yankuang style clay pot by Master Xu Xulun.

Yankuang means mixing rocks and ashes with the clay - an ancient tradition. After the earthquake disaster in Nantou in 1999, one could see the cracked earth of Taiwan. This inspired ceramic artists to take these visible rocks and create ceramics to reconcile the earth, transforming pain and disaster into beauty!

The clay is the flesh, the rock is the skeleton. Mixed together, they become the symbol of sincerity. Yankuang Ceramics not only lives the natural philosophy, but also the practical application. The aim is to express the language of tea correctly. Aesthetics is multi-layered. The visual is only one aspect of it. The most important thing is the tea.
