Description:
A tea of outstanding quality, made from old and wild trees only, from a very good site. The tea has been produced in traditional manner, i.e. sun dried. The leaves come from wild trees that are very old (around 1000 years old) from Mount Daxueshan (great snow mountain). The trees are not easily accessible hence only small amounts of this precious tea have been produced. Additionally, the trees have been put under protection since 2009, so no new tea is produced from them. This tea has been stored in Mengku (China) until 2015.
Character:
Characteristically, teas from Mengku present a refined sweet note. This tea already has very pronounced and beautiful mature notes.
Category:
Sheng Cha - Raw Pu Er
Storage:
Fresh and pleasant to drink, combining slightly tart and sweet notes. This tea undergoes a process of microbial fermentation while stored, during which it loses freshness and tartness, while gaining depth, sweetness and earthy notes.
