An outstanding Gyokuro from the region of Hoshino that not only presents the typical sweetness and full-bodied Umami taste but also a dense complexity that is composed of a soft savoury note as well as some notes of green vegetables. The tea has been harvested manually.

A Gyokuro that is hardly to be topped in its intensity, fullness and spice.Roasted sesame, a light tartness and hints of vegetables such as eggplant, cucumber and other vegetables. A tea like a high-value meal, nourishing in every aspect.

Gyokuro Gyokuro are the noblest teas in Japan, the name meaning drop of jade dew. For this tea, only leaves of overshadowed tea bushes are used. By casting a shadow on the bushes, their growth slows down. This results in more amino acids and chlorophyll in the leaves and consequently a more pronounced umami and sweet taste, less catechins and therefore less bitter substances. To produce Gyokuro, the tea bushes are overshadowed for twenty-one days before the plucking. Gyokuro teas are very dense and aromatic.
