Description:
A beautiful traditional tea from Chaozhou in the fashion of a local every day tea from the 70ies.It is a blend of various Oolong varietal (Qilan, Dahong, Meizhan, Huangdan) from the surroundings of Fenghuang. Since no Shuixian is in the blend, this tea cannot be considered a Fenghuang Dancong in the strictest of senses - hence we named it Fenghuang Wulong.
Character:
This tea reminds of a warm fire in an autumnal forest.

Description:
A very interesting tea from Chaozhou. Hongxianglan can be translated as red scenting-orchid. It is produced in the way of Phoenix Single Bush teas, but strictly speaking, it is not a Fenghuang Dancong. This is because the leaves come from bushes of the variety Qi Lan (strange orchid); genuine Dancong must be from one of the sub-varietals of the Shuixian type. Qilan grow in the north-east of Fenghuang, up to the province of Fujian, and are then crafted into Phoenix, Wuyi Rock teas or Anxi Oolong.
Character:
This tea is like a quiet stroll at the edge of a forest. On the one side, one finds a dense and colourful meadow full of flowers and on the other wood, wild berries and moss.

Description:
Shiguping Wulong is a very particular and rare tea from an old variety. It is an old local variety from the village of Shiguping and one of the oldest Oolong-varieties. It is NOT a sub-variety of the Shuixian variety, hence it is, strictly speaking, not a Feng Huang Dan Cong. Shi Gu Ping has much thicker leaves than Shuixian and it can thus be shaken more vigorously before the process of oxidation. On the other hand, this tea is less intensely roasted than Phoenix tea made from the Shuixian plant.
Character:
Green and intense, the taste of this tea moves along a small still water, with reed and grass while once in a while, the smell of a delicate flower passes by in the wind.

Description:
A very beautiful Fenghuang Dandong of outstanding quality, that needs much attention. The leaves come from over fifty year old bushes that grow at high altitude on Mount Wudong. They are of the sub-varietal Songzhong. The tea is carfully crafted and moderately roasted above charcoal from litchi-wood. Songzhong, Song (dynasty) Varietal means, that cuttings were taken from a tea trea from the Song dynasty, i.e. which is at least 700 years old. New tea gardens were grown from these cuttings. The tea bushes themselves are not so old, their genetic material, however, is, which is reflected in its taste. Such genuine Wudong Sonzhong are also called Dongfanghong (The east is red) in honour of Mao Zedong.

Tart power, original depth, tenderness of knowing age.

Description:
A genuine specialty: a Taiwanese Fenghuang Dancong / Phoenix Single Bush. A tea bush of the variety Shuixian Baiye has been smuggled from Fenghuang into Taiwan in the early 2000s. It has since been growing in Mingjian. The bushes have been reproduced through cuttings, resulting in a tea garden made of Shuixian bushes in Mingjian.

Still, this tea should not be compared with its mainland China model, but cherished on its own right. The soil and the climate are different and the tea is also consciously produced in a different way to reduce the tart-bitter notes, which are so typical for Phoenix Single Bush teas.
Character:
A fragrant tea, round in the pouring and tender in the beginning. The aromas, however, unfold in the mouth into a wonderful bouquet, plucked by the skirts of the forest.
